Fête de la Chanson 1: Allocation Draw

Welcome to the allocation draw for the countries of Fête de la Chanson 1! At the time of writing, 14 people have confirmed to take part, and today we will be allocating countries from a pot of 26 countries from the Americas and Europe. First, here’s the list of pots that were made to decide the American countries, aside from the United States, which automatically takes part as the host country.

Now, to decide the five European wildcard countries, I literally threw darts at a map.

That gives us this list of countries. Fourteen of them will end up competing in Fête de la Chanson 1. This post will be a live allocation, so keep an eye on your name! After this has concluded, I’ll send everyone an email with their countries.

Just a note about the entries from Antigua & Barbuda, Suriname, St. Lucia, and the Bahamas: Because these countries are so small, they will have extended borrowing rights that will give them as equal a chance as possible of finding a suitable entry.
